It's your first day in your new YOUNGEVITY business, and you're likely wondering where to start.
First of all, WELCOME to our Youngevity family. We are really happy that you’ve decided to join us and we want to let you know that our team is filled with people who are here to support you and to cheer you on.
I’m sure you’re feeling really excited about your choice to join a new business. This PASSION and ENTHUSIASM is fantastic, and is the foundation for the business growth that you’re going to find.
It’s fun to start telling people about your decision to join a Direct Sales company, but it’s also important that you don’t jump in and start telling EVERYONE EVERYTHING right off the bat.
To get your business started off on the right foot, and to not scare off all of your friends, family and Facebook friends, be careful in how quickly you jump in to shouting to the world you have a new business.
Start with something simple on your Facebook page like adding Youngevity to your work profile or bio.
If you haven’t spoken to people in ages, don’t suddenly reach out to them with the purpose of sharing your business opportunity with them. Reach out in friendship first. Make a comment about one of their Facebook posts or photos, set up a lunch or coffee date. Just be a friend.
If you have an established relationship, and as you reach out and contact people by phone or email, don’t give them all the info in your 1st email. Make a quick call or send a short email just asking their permission to send them a short video about ____.
You may want to say something like, “I’ve been thinking about you and what you said about ______. I don’t have very much time, but can I come by tomorrow… This might not be the right fit for you, and that’s okay, but I really want to show it to you.”
LESS IS MORE. Share your enthusiasm.
Invite them to find out more by pointing them in the direction of a NEXT STEP:
If you feel like making a Facebook post it could be something simple about how excited you are to get started with your new adventure, or a simple inspirational post or message that you have found on the YOUNGEVITY or TEAM FUSION TRAINING FAN page.
Take some time to explore some of the New Distributor Training resources available, and while you’re exploring them, start up a little document of your favorite videos you may want to share, and what the message was that spoke to your heart.
Also, as you’re viewing and beginning on your training, write down names of people you think you’d like to reach out to about the new products and business you’ve joined.
Connecting with people in your area is a key to success as well. While your sponsor and upline leaders are your primary sources of support, collaborating with your new local friends makes events more fun and successful. Check out Youngevity’s event locator, and see what is happening in your area. Not only will local events help you learn more about your new company and business, they also provide a great option for something to invite your friends to as well.
These are just some basic tips that I hope will help as you’re stepping into your new business.
