For 2016, I decided to add some additional categories to our monthly recognition call. There are a lot of things we can do in our businesses, but the most important step we can consistently take to GROW our businesses is to add new Customers and Distributors to our teams. This month we'd like to recognize the Team Fusion Distributors who added the most new customers, had the highest new customer sales, and then of course our top sponsors and CEO sponsors as well. Great job to all of you!!! Your efforts to share the importance of what we do, and to grow your businesses don't go unnoticed.
Please join us on our monthly recognition and training calls on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 am MT (8 am PT, 10 am CT, 11 am ET). RANK ADVANCEMENT Congratulations to our newest Regional Marketing Director, Claudia Griffis. Fantastic work! Enjoy the additional compensation and rewards of being an RMD. ![]() STABILITY, SECURITY, YOUNGEVITY, by Keith Halls Recently, a friend of mine asked me what I think about the financial strength and future of a network marketing company named Youngevity (Stock Symbol: YGYI). I have been involved in network marketing since 1984. For the first 17 years of my career, I was on the corporate side of the industry. Since 2001, I have been involved on the distributor and consulting side of the industry. During my first 17 years, I worked as the Director of Finance and Accounting for a multi billion a year company. I am glad that I had this opportunity. Why? It gave me many of the “tools” I needed in order to judge other network marketing companies. Many people join network marketing companies and spend their time, energy and effort working for a company, only to lose everything because the company goes bankrupt. In today’s world of network marketing, many recognized leaders and new distributors are choosing to join an established, financially secure company, rather than a new start up company. Why? All too often, start up or new companies don’t truly have the financial strength they need and even though they may pretend to have it, they often don’t and the company goes under quickly. If you are sincerely looking at a company, and trying to decide if you should, ask to see their financial statements. Many of the financially secure company’s will be willing to provide you with the statements. Audited financial statements, such as a Balance Sheet and Income Statement will allow you to make an educated guess. Don’t be fooled by company’s who state that they have a billion-dollar investor, but are unwilling to show you their financial statements. Yes, a billionaire may have invested, but the financial statements will show if he or she has invested “their name” or if they have invested “their money”. Money wins. In 2013, I spent a lot of time looking for the “right” company to join as a distributor. What was important to me: 1) The leadership of the company; 2) The products of the company; 3) The compensation plan of the company; 4) The financial strength of the company; and 5) How long the company had been in business? Based upon the criteria, I joined Youngevity. So, when my friend asked me about my thoughts of Youngevity’s financial strength, I was able to answer. First, the company is growing and growing rapidly. Here are Youngevity’s sales from the last few years: 2012 2013 2014 2015* 75 million 85 Million 134 million 155 million A company that has sales that are growing this rapidly represents lots and lots of satisfied customers. Most of Youngevity’s sales come from within the USA because that has been their base of operations. The company is now beginning to expand globally, so many believe the company will continue to grow and grow rapidly as they now add satisfied customers through out the world. Second, the company’s equity is growing and growing rapidly. The equity is how much in assets is left over, after paying one’s bills. Part of the equity is from the given year and part is an accumulation of all the years they have been in business. Here is the growth of their equity: 2012 2013 2014 2015* 10 million 12 million 18 million 20 million Third, the company is investing in its future. This is measured by looking at the growth in their inventory. Inventory equals future sales and Youngevity’s inventory has grown rapidly. This represent millions and millions of dollars in future sales and the inventory is on hand. 2012 2013 2014 2015* 4 million 6 million 12 million 18 million Having been a CPA for many years and being an active investor, I always look for the Accountants Notes to the financial results. Youngevity’s financial records are audited each year. This means that CPA’s examine the financial records and then state whether they agree with them or not. Youngevity’s CPA’s notes have always been “clean”; in other words, the CPA’s believe in the statements. . Additionally, if for any reason the auditors believe that the company is a financial “risk”, or if the auditors believe the company will fail, they must disclose that information. Youngevity’s auditors have never ever stated that they are worried about the long term future of the company. Finally, let’s go to an outside source; Dun and Bradstreet (D&B). D&B is an independent 3rd party who evaluates the credit worthiness of a company. Their agency is the most influential in the USA. Often times in the business world, your D&B rating will mean the difference between getting a loan or not. Banks and lenders want to know a company’s rating before they consider loaning money. D&B rates Youngevity’s as “high” or very credit worthy. In other words, the most sought after 3rd party rating a company can have and Youngevity is at the top. I could go on and on, but I hope this brief analysis can show you why I believe in the financial strength of Youngevity. I believe in them so much, that I have banked my future with them. Keith Halls • This is an educated guess. It is based upon the first 3 quarters of the year 2015. ** The numbers have been rounded to the nearest million Our Memories for Life layout designers Genelle Thomas, Janette Ballard, Kathy Povolny and Kristen Goodmen created some fun layout ideas to share using our newest Our Memories for Life collections: Winter Wonders and Baby Bundle. Thanks for the inspiration ladies!
![]() When a company pays commissions on your business and sales, it's important to know how the plan works so that you can maximize your discounts and also your commissions. I've pulled together a few important tips to show you how you can use Youngevity's compensation plan to maximize savings on your personal purchases. QUESTION: How do I know how much to order, and where to place my order so I don't leave money on the table? With Youngevity's system, to qualify to get paid you need a $50 QV (Qualifying Volume) order. To qualify for 30% commission (on a Customers first 30 days of ordering), you need a $100 QV autoship order. To qualify to get paid on a large percentage of your organization, you need $150 QV order. Leaders (SEMD and above) need $250 or $300 depending on the rank. If you're like me, and you have transferred a lot of the purchases you were making in other places to Youngevity product, how can you maximize your commissions? What I do, is I have two autoships on file for my household, and I have them coming about 2 weeks apart from each other, so I don't run out of things. Remember, autoships over $50 QV get free shipping, and you get ONE a month in your account. In MY DISTRIBUTOR account, my autoship covers my personal QV requirement. Remember, for most people this should be $100 QV. For people with a downline of Distributors, it should be $150 QV. This is very important!!!! Once you're past the requirement to maximize your pay, put the additional product you need in your OTHER autoship. Whether it's a spouse or family member's Customer account, or their Distributor account, it doesn't matter, although Distributor is often better. After you've met your personal qualifying volume requirements, PAY YOURSELF on the rest. This solution helps your business in a few ways: #1 - maximizes your pay on your Customers and Distributors #2 - pays YOU on part of your product orders #3 - gets you FREE SHIPPING on all of your Youngevity orders #4 - gives you more than one SHIP DATE for products you want and need In a nutshell, to maximize savings and pay: two autoships a month in two separate accounts, with your Distributor account at $150 QV. YOUNGEVITY SOCIAL is a new program that provides TRAINING RESOURCES and HOST REWARDS for sharing your business through in-home or online events. Under the direction of Sean Brown, Co-Founder of Mialisia, we are in the process of creating a program to help all Distributors have the tools they need to build and grow their business through parties, classes, social events, and workshops. WHAT MAKES OUR SYSTEM DIFFERENT? - Our top Distributors from various companies are sharing their expertise and working together to create the best resources and training materials for you to select from. - Distributors choose which brand(s) of product they are most excited about, and that they can personally share the best way possible, to be the focus of their events. - Hosts and party attendees both have access to wholesale pricing. - In addition to Host Rewards, there are also Customer Rewards. - It's a hybrid model combining direct sales with opportunities to add residual rewards through auto-ship choices, and signing up distributors. Our compensation system is the best available when it comes to rewarding team building. - You receive an automatic 30% commission when you have your own $100 autoship on file. Your autoship can be whichever product brands you choose and can be changed each month. WHAT CAN ADDING YOUNGEVITY SOCIAL EVENTS DO FOR YOUR BUSINESS? The most important part of our business for the long term, is duplication, but it all starts with an introduction. A Youngevity Social event is a fantastic way to introduce our product to others. What can happen to your income as you embrace Youngevity Social? Party averages are $500 per party. If you hold 4 parties in a month 4 X $500 = $2000 30% commission = $600 additional in commissions you didn't have last month. Teach your team to do the same and you'll see what can happen over a year's time. HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED? During the pilot phase you need to send an email to our SOCIAL SELLING DEPARTMENT with your name, email address and Youngevity ID, and they will set up your account. Then ask a member of our team to add you to the Social Selling Facebook group. You'll begin receiving email communication, you'll obtain an account that enables you to enter your party orders and access host rewards, and you'll start seeing great tips shared by those who are also part of Youngevity Social. WHAT RESOURCES DO YOU NEED? Below are some basic resources to make your IN-HOME or ONLINE events a SUCCESS! TIPS FOR BOOKING Booking parties can be fun if you are excited about the products and activities you'll be sharing. When you're getting started, it's often best to set up a day or a block of time that you can have a little "Booking Blitz". As you begin to make calls to find hosts here are some tips that can help you with great results: #1 Create your list ahead of time. Start with people who've expressed interest in the past, people whose parties you've attended, and customers who love the product, and make sure their contact information is handy. #2 Create an "Open Date" calendar. Take a look at your calendar over the next 3 months and decide which dates and times you are "Open" for events. If someone says they'd like to host next month, give them 2 or 3 options you have available. #3 Be excited and stay positive. STAND UP while you're making the call and let your potential host hear the enthusiasm in your voice and the excitement you have for sharing amazing product with their friends and family. #4 Have a simple script. What are the first sentences you will say? What are the points you want to bring up in the call? Which product line are you focusing your party on? What is the next step after the date is booked? Know all of that before you call and have it written on a notepad in front of you. $5 DO IT. Start with people you think are most likely to say YES. Keep it simple. Don't over analyze things, or over prepare. The hardest part is the FIRST STEP. Take things one step at a time and you'll find the success you're looking for. HOST COACHING Working with a host can be a really fun part of our business. An enthusiastic and motivated host can be the difference between a successful event and one that doesn't achieve the results you'd hoped for. Coaching a host on their event can help them achieve the sales goals that they set, and can help you grow your business as well. WHAT DO I DO OR SAY AT MY EVENT? More training is coming soon here, but take a look at some of the basic training for various product brands.
